Version 1.0. Last updated 8 October 2026.
These terms apply when you use GarageWise. Please read them. By creating an account you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the business you sign up for.
GarageWise is run by GarageWise Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16848711). Our registered office is Trade Fair House, 2 Enterprise Road, Maidstone, Kent, ME15 6JD. You can contact us at support@garagewise.co.
In these terms, "we" and "us" means GarageWise Ltd. "You" means the business that holds the account and anyone it lets use it.
GarageWise is web-based software for vehicle workshops. Depending on your plan it includes garage management tools (diary, jobs, estimates, invoices, customer and vehicle records, reminders) and technical repair data supplied by HaynesPro, with vehicle details from the DVLA and DVSA.
GarageWise is for business use. It is not sold to consumers.
We keep improving the product, so features may change. We won't remove something central to your plan without telling you first.
New accounts get a free trial of 14 days. You don't need a card to start. During the trial, technical data lookups are capped at 20 vehicles. When the trial ends you'll need to choose a plan to keep using GarageWise. If you don't, your account stops working but we keep your data for a while in case you come back (see section 10).
Technical data in GarageWise, including repair procedures, wiring diagrams, service schedules, torque settings, repair times and diagnostic information, is licensed to us by HaynesPro and other suppliers. You may use it to repair and service vehicles in your own workshop. You must not:
Technical data is a guide. Vehicles vary, and the data can contain errors or gaps. Always use your own professional judgement and follow the manufacturer's safety procedures. You are responsible for the work carried out in your workshop.
You must not use GarageWise to break the law, to send spam, to upload anything harmful, or to try to get into parts of the system you're not meant to. You must not resell access to GarageWise unless you have a reseller agreement with us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where we can, we'll warn you first.
The data you put into GarageWise belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it so we can run the service for you.
When you store your own customers' details in GarageWise (names, contact details, vehicles, job and invoice history), you are the data controller and we act as your data processor under UK data protection law. As your processor we will:
You are responsible for having a lawful reason to hold your customers' data and to contact them. That includes MOT and service reminders sent by email or SMS through GarageWise.
How we handle personal data for our own purposes, such as your account details, is explained in our Privacy Policy.
We work hard to keep GarageWise running and secure, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted. We may need downtime for maintenance, and we rely on third parties (such as HaynesPro, the DVLA and our hosting provider) whose services can be unavailable. Support is by email at support@garagewise.co during UK business hours.
You can close your account at any time by cancelling and asking us to delete it. Before you do, you can ask us for a copy of your data.
After an account is closed or a trial expires without a plan being chosen, we keep the data for up to 12 months so you can come back, then delete it. Some records, such as invoices for your subscription, we keep for longer where the law requires.
We may end your account with 30 days' notice for any reason, or straight away if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms or don't pay.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.
Otherwise:
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we'll email the account owner at least 30 days before it takes effect. The version and date at the top of this page show which version is current.
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about GarageWise. If any part turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
